Etsy Featured Shop: SkyBox

SkyBox is the Etsy shop of Jenny, who is a Seattle resident. She learned to crochet as a young girl, when her mother was looking for something to keep she and her siblings entertained during summer vacations. Although her shop on Etsy just opened at the beginning of 2008, she has been crafting for more than 20 years. Etsy is the first venue where she has sold her creations.

In addition to crocheted items, her Etsy shop also features knit items and sewn items. Jenny says: "Originally the shop was just for my knit and crochet items but the Etsy articles about craftivism and recycling/upcycling have inspired me to get the sewing machine out of it's box, wipe the dust off it and sew things out of old clothes like wallets and purses." In addition to upcycled items, her crocheted market totes are wonderful for those of us trying to reduce our impact on the future of the Earth. She is willing to take custom orders for her items, noting that she can work with customers on colors and sizes. "I want to make something that is better than what they have pictured in their mind because I love to see people completely happy with things that I make."
