Although I'm not much of a science person, I LOVE these Chemistry Crayon Labels from Que Interesante. The shop's tag line is "Where Geek Meets Art," and it absolutely fits! The crayon labels are meant to be put on a set of crayons to indicate what chemical compounds can be burned to produce that color. If only I had had a set of these when I was a kid, I could have tried to convince my relatives to burn all sorts of interesting things in their fireplace. :) Que Interesante also makes greeting cards with diagrams of chemical compounds that match the sentiment of the card. Too cute! :)

Western Washington is stunning year-round, but when ALL of the trees are green, it's even better. I'm out traveling this week, but I know I'll be seeing lots of green trees, like the ones captured by these Team EtsyRain photographers!

Every once in a while, I spot a shop that just blows me away. A Cut Above Coins is one such shop. I met the artist responsible for this amazing work at an EtsyRain meetup last month, and if you think his photos of his pendants and earrings are awesome, you should see this stuff in person! The detail is amazing, and even more so when you realize that he does all of these by hand--these are not machine cut! All of the tiny little delicate details are just astonishing. It's so hard for me to choose only one of his items to feature today, so you'll just have to swing by A Cut Above Coins to see them all for yourself!

In addition to my crafting (and all of the other things I do), I'm a writer. When I don't have crochet to work on, I occasionally take a notebook with me on the bus to make good use of my commute time. With beautiful notebooks like these, I'm sure I'd be the envy of all of my writing friends!

I don't get a chance to feature the Big Damn Crafters here very often, as we're a smaller group than EtsyRain. But when I saw these cute Firefly/Serenity related toys, I had to share them!

My fiancé's birthday is tomorrow. Although he hasn't asked for any presents, I've got my eye on a couple of things on Etsy for him. But they'll have to wait until after his birthday, as I waited far too long to order them in time for his actual birthday.
This is on my to buy list, because he loves oversized mugs for his coffee, and one with tentacles is pretty much perfect.
This one is on my to buy and then make list, as it's for a pattern for a crocheted Chewbacca. Because somehow, the concept of a Polar Wookie came up, and now he wants one. :)
