A Vintage Match Made in Heaven: Tea for 5 (or 6)

Every so often, I come across items from two different sellers that seem as though they are meant to go to the same person or home. Sometimes it's two knitted or crocheted items that use the same brand and color of yarn, while other times, it's a couple of vintage items that look like they were separated at birth. Today, it's the latter. Sure, there are 6 mugs and only 5 saucers, but they would still make a nice table setting for tea or coffee!

Featured Friday: Lenolay

If I could have my dream home, it would have an infinite amount of wall space, so that I could hang all of the various artwork and photographs that I adore. And in said dream home, I'd definitely be sure to hang a photo from Photo Lenolay! The photos are digitally altered pieces of artwork, featuring European scenes and objects, like this sweet little vintage BMW Isetta.

Although Photo Lenolay is set up to offer photo prints in 7x10" sizes, the shop also offers other sizes, making it a perfect place to find something that fits your wall and your wallet. If cars aren't your thing, there are also photographs of Paris scenes and artfully arranged shots of tools.

Back to School

The first day of school has come and gone in some places, and it's still on the way in other places. Either way, you can outfit your school-goers with these great items from members of Team EtsyRain!

Featured Friday: Penelopespiderworks

I first spotted this TARDIS mug from Penelopespiderworks in a treasury that my crocheted TARDIS was also in. It is currently at the top of my covet list. Of course, I'll probably need to buy two, because my hubbie is a big fan of extra large coffee mugs, and this one will hold a PINT!

Penelopespiderworks also makes a wide variety of other ceramic items, like pendants, dishes, and other vessels. I love her simple pastel colors and the attention to detail she puts into all of her items, especially the TARDIS pieces!

Lovely Peacock Feathers

I've always loved the brilliant colors of peacock feathers, but I never liked the idea of keeping a real feather around the house. With these great items from members of Team EtsyRain, you can have lovely handcrafted peacock feathers to wear in your hair or on your head!

Unexpected Stop in Phoenix

A little over 16 years ago, I flew to Phoenix to visit a friend at ASU. Now, I'm back in Phoenix unexpectedly, as I missed my connecting flight yesterday. As much as I'd love to go out and explore for a bit, it's FAR too hot for this Seattle girl. So instead, I looked for a couple of Etsy sellers who have Phoenix-related photographs. Check them out!

Featured Friday: Anita Klein Designs

Today's Featured Friday artisan is an Etsy seller I stumbled across recently. Anita Klein Designs makes the cutest plush penguins, including a Jedi, Harry Potter, and other geeky penguins. She also makes plenty of normal penguins, in just about every color of the rainbow (and even some patterns).

In addition to the plush penguins, Anita Klein Designs also makes pillows and other plush animals. But since I adore penguins, they're the ones that catch my attention the most. I'm still trying to decide if I'd rather have her make a Ravenclaw penguin, or if I should just buy a purple penguin and call it good. Maybe I'll have to do both! :)

Fleur de Lis

Having attended a school founded by French nuns for a good part of my childhood, fleur de lis were always around. These fleur de lis necklaces from members of Team EtsyRain are beautiful representations of this common French motif!

Featured Friday: TinyBully

I crochet a lot of arm warmers, but I'm totally coveting these knitted fingerless gloves from Tiny Bully. There are some things that you can make as a knitted item so much easier than you can make as a crocheted item, and the windows and lettering of the TARDIS are definitely among them.

Tiny Bully also has other knitted fingerless gloves (and some awesome hats), covering a whole bunch of different geeky fandoms. It's actually rather hard for me to choose only one pair to feature in this post, so be sure to check out the whole shop to see what else Tiny Bully has to offer!

Sometimes, no occasion is needed to give someone a beautiful card. Or you can buy a card and frame it as a piece of artwork for yourself. These gorgeous cards from members of Team EtsyRain would be perfect for either option!
