Featured Friday: Weirdly Cute

I wasn't planning on any zombie costumes for this Halloween, but Weirdly Cute might just change my mind. This zombie stitch choker is awesome, and the shop also carries similar pieces for your arms, your wrists, and your fingers.

And if that weren't enough, Weirdly Cute also offers jewelry that makes it looks like a vampire has bitten your neck. Plus, Nightmare Before Christmas, Harry Potter, Twilight, and Zelda jewelry! It's a geek girl's dream! If your tastes steer toward the more normal sort of jewelry, you can also find a lot of options at Weirdly Cute for Halloween and beyond!

A Vintage Match Made in Heaven: Punch Bowl and Goblets

Every so often, I come across items from two different sellers that seem as though they are meant to go together. Today, I've got Halloween on the brain, and so this orange punch bowl and set of glasses caught my attention right away! Great for Halloween, but also classic enough that you could use it all year round!

Featured Friday: UsagiRabbit

I spotted one of these cute little plush bunnies from UsagiRabbit in a treasury on Etsy that featured both of our shops, and instantly fell in love. I also immediately bought one for my husband, because I knew he'd love it too. It arrived super fast, and is just as cute in person as it is online!

In addition to the plush bunnies, UsagiRabbit also sells bunny iPod cozies, a little bit of jewelry, and artwork. While the bunny theme is frequent in some of the artwork, the shop has a good deal of diversity that you'll just have to check out for yourselves!

(How telling is it that I already had a tag for plush bunnies? :) )

An Ode to PB&J

Recently, I've rediscovered my love of peanut butter and jelly as an easy, filling lunch. But my grown-up palate doesn't want plain old grape jelly any more. So I went looking on Etsy to find some sellers with interesting and exciting jellies, jams, and preserves!

Every so often, I come across items from two different sellers that seem as though they are meant to go together. I can just see someone wearing these gloves, the scarves tied around their hair, cruising down winding country roads in a convertible as they enjoy the autumn leaves swirling around. Just a little bit of yesteryear elegance!

Featured Friday: One Clay Bead

I don't remember how I first stumbled across One Clay Bead, but I find that every time I wander back to this shop, I find more things to love. Dragonflies feature prominently in a lot of their pieces, which is the most obvious draw for me, but I also love the pastel colors that still manage to be vivid.

One Clay Bead sells all sorts of ceramic housewares that are both beautiful and functional. You can even find wedding cake toppers in this shop, and they're the sort of wedding toppers that could then find a place of honor within your home.

Featured Friday: Jessica Illustration

I spotted one of Jessica Durrant's pieces on Etsy recently, and fell in love with her style. Watercolors in vivid hues, complete with the natural drips that come from painting with watercolors, are just the sort of artwork I'd love to hang on my walls.

Jessica Durrant paints world maps, scenes from travels, and fashion inspired pieces. With most of these items being prints of her original artwork, they're super affordable! Even the originals are offered at great prices!

Happy birthday to a girl who will never grow old... or is that up?

Every year, on this day, we celebrate the birth of a little sister, who was not the little brother that we thought we wanted, but turned out to be just right for our family after all. That little sister may be 27 today, but we're pretty sure she'll always be our baby sister, one way or another!

Some shops have a little bit of everything, and My Funky Camelot is one of those shops! I had a hard time picking out just one item to feature in this post, but settled on this monster tea cozy because I've never seen anything like it!

Items in My Funky Camelot's shop include clothing, cozies for electronic gadgets and tea pots, dice bags, and jewelry. There's steampunk, Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Ren faire, and many other things represented among the themes. In short, there's a little bit of something for just about everyone!
