Featured Friday: Ear Emporium

Recently, I got a bonus at work and decided to use it on an Etsy shopping spree, buying a bunch of stuff that I've been eyeing for a while. So my Featured Friday posts for a few weeks will be about the sellers who made the stuff that I bought!

Ever since I stretched my earlobes, I've been on the search for earrings I can wear. Glass and stone seem to work best for my ears, followed by wood, bone, plastic, and other synthetic materials. So when I saw the great options at Ear Emporium, I had to stop and buy a pair! These opalite plugs are especially lovely, because they look white or clear most of the time, until the light hits them, and then they're every color of the rainbow in shimmery pastels. They go with just about anything I'd want to wear!

Depending on the size of your stretched earlobes, you may find some designs that aren't in the right size for you. But there are so many options that WILL be available in your size, you're sure to find something you like at Ear Emporium!

Featured Friday: One Eyed Fox

Recently, I got a bonus at work and decided to use it on an Etsy shopping spree, buying a bunch of stuff that I've been eyeing for a while. So my Featured Friday posts for a few weeks will be about the sellers who made the stuff that I bought!

I love love LOVE rings, but I have such tiny fingers that a lot of "one size fits most" are problematic for me. But One Eyed Fox has brilliant rings that fit me and are SUPER comfortable. My Deathly Hallows ring went straight onto my finger when it arrived, and it really only comes off when I shower or sleep. Despite the gap in the back, it doesn't get caught on my hair, or clothes, or crochet, which makes it an excellent every day ring.

But One Eyed Fox makes more than just rings! She's also got pendants, bracelets, keyrings, and all sorts of other items for many different fandoms. Every time I look, I find at least half a dozen more things that I want, and most days, it's far more than just half a dozen things!

Featured Friday: The Creator's Creations

Recently, I got a bonus at work and decided to use it on an Etsy shopping spree, buying a bunch of stuff that I've been eyeing for a while. So my Featured Friday posts for a few weeks will be about the sellers who made the stuff that I bought!

After getting a number of different piercings, I realized that I probably share the nickel allergy that my mom and sister both have. I retired a lot of my piercings, but I have had my ears pierced since I was 12, and I wanted to keep those. So instead of retiring them, I had my piercer help me to stretch my earlobes. But that meant that all of the cute dangly earrings that I loved so much as a teenager were no longer available to me.

Enter The Creator's Creations. She makes gauged earring converters that can be used to turn your dangly earrings into something that you can still wear. I ordered them in several different colors, and even without traditional jewelry tools, I've been able to attach the dangly parts of my earrings to these converters with no problem at all. Now I'm on the lookout for earrings that I love again, knowing that I can turn them into earrings I can wear, thanks to The Creator's Creations!

Featured Friday: Storied Threads

Recently, I got a bonus at work and decided to use it on an Etsy shopping spree, buying a bunch of stuff that I've been eyeing for a while. So my Featured Friday posts for a few weeks will be about the sellers who made the stuff that I bought!

In what passes for my spare time, my husband and I have an online magazine, Mad Scientist Journal. So when I saw these great merit badges from Storied Threads, I had to get each one!

While I was there, deciding if we needed a whole sash of fun merit badges and other patches, I also had to pick up a Police Public Call Box Choker to wear with my TARDIS blue dress. It turns an otherwise unassuming dress into a rather comfortable and cute costume, which is my favorite kind of costume.

Check out Storied Threads for these great embroidered items and a whole ton more. I'm definitely going to have to go back when I find a good surface to start sewing my merit badges to!

Featured Friday: Emery Drive

Recently, I got a bonus at work and decided to use it on an Etsy shopping spree, buying a bunch of stuff that I've been eyeing for a while. So my Featured Friday posts for a few weeks will be about the sellers who made the stuff that I bought!

I arrived late to the Harry Potter party, mostly because of my own stubbornness. When I finally read the books and watched the movies, I was absolutely enchanted. All those people who had told me I would love them were absolutely right.

Now that I've arrived at the party, I want all kinds of stuff to proclaim my love for the Potterverse and my house (RAVENCLAW!). I have a special fondness for the Weasley twins, so when I found Emery Drive's "I solemnly swear I am up to no good" and "Mischief managed" bracelets, I knew I had to have them.

These bracelets are fantastic. They're flexible enough that I can bend them to be snug on my wrists, but sturdy enough to take the repeated bending. They also make the sweetest ringing noise when they knock into each other.

Emery Drive has other Harry Potter-inspired items as well, along with a whole slew of other fandoms, so check out her shop if you're looking for something to accessorize your life!
